Pasta. Yummy!! We seem to eat pasta a couple times a week. It is easy, inexpensive, and usually never fails. My husband, the picky eater he is, will request Spaghetti Pie very often. This recipe is a simple meal. most of the items we have on hand, so we only have to buy bread if we want it. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do.

Spaghetti Pie

Ingredients:
1 lb. of ground Italian sausage( either pork or turkey)
12 oz. sour cream
6 oz. cream cheese, room temp
1 small container ricotta cheese( use only about 1/2)
1 lb. spaghetti, cooked
2 jars of traditional Prego
2 1/2 cups shredded mozzerella
red pepper flakes( optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Boil noodles until they are al dente.Once noodles are finished, drain and drizzle olive oil, leting them cool down. In a large saucepan brown sausage until pink is gone. Add spaghetti sauce & red pepper flakes, simmer. In a medium bowl combine sour cream, ricotta, 1 3/4 cups cheese, & red pepper flakes(if using) until smooth. In a 9x13 pan spread about 1/4 cup of sauce on bottom. Add 1/2 of the cooked pasta. Dollop the cream cheese on the pasta & smooth out as best you can.**it will be stuck in one place, that is ok. Spoon a layer of the ricotta mixture & top with 1/4 cup mozzerella cheese. Spread the sauce over generously. Repeat the layering once more & top it all off with the remaining cheese. Cover with foil & bake for 35-40 minutes. Make sure that the foil is not touching the top of pasta!! Uncover and bake for 10 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes. Gobble it up and chase it down with a tall glass fo cold milk!! Yummy!
